One of our greatest priorities is ensuring that all our students arrive safely to school each and every day. We use an absence reporting system called SafeArrival that allows parents to report their child’s absence quickly and conveniently. This system also reduces the time it takes to verify student attendance and makes it easy for staff to respond quickly to unexplained student absences.
With SafeArrival, you are asked to report your child’s absence in advance (before morning bell time) using one of these 3 convenient methods:
1. Call the automated interactive telephone system via a toll-free number 1-866-879-1041 to report an absence.
2. Use the SafeArrival website, https://go.schoolmessenger.ca. The first time you use the website, select Sign Up to create your account using your email address. Select Attendance to Report an Absence.
3. Using your mobile device, download and install the SchoolMessenger app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store (or from the links at https://go.schoolmessenger.ca). Use your new login information to access your account. Select Attendance to Report an Absence.
These options are available 24 hours/day, 7 days a week. Future absences can be reported at any time.
We will continue to use our automated notification system to contact parents at multiple contact numbers until one of the designated contacts is reached or 20 minutes has elapsed. By reporting your child's absence in advance using the Safe Arrival toll free number or SafeArrival website/app, you will NOT receive a call.
Please do not contact the school directly to report an absence.
